Hybrid-powered narrowboat “Watt Knot”, built by Ortomarine, secured 3rd place for Favourite Boat in Show in the Narrowboat Category.
British Guild of Travel Writers
Awarded Best European Tourism Project 2018. The eco-tour passenger vessel Natalia, powered by a Hybrid Marine propulsion system, won this prestigious European honour.

Hybrid-powered narrowboat “Elizabeth Ann”, built by Braidbar Boats, won 1st Place for Favourite Boat in Show in the Narrowboat Category.

Hybrid-powered narrowboat “Threepence Ha’Penny”, built by Bourne Boat Builders, won 1st Place for Favourite Boat in Show in the Narrowboat Category.
PBO Green Boat of the Year
Jeremy Rogers’ classic yacht “Calypso” won this prestigious award from Practical Boat Owner magazine, fitted with a complete Hybrid Marine electric drive and power generation system.
Shell Springboard Awards
Organised by Shell to recognise low-carbon commercial technology. Hybrid Marine reached the national finals and received a special commendation from the judging committee for marine electrification.
PBO Green Product of the Year
Hybrid Marine was honoured at the Southampton International Boat Show, receiving the Practical Boat Owner Green Product of the Year award for our standalone parallel hybrid drive package.
Mansura Trophy (2008)
The Mansura Trophy is administered by the Royal Thames Yacht Club to recognise global excellence in hybrid marine vessel design and propulsion.
Hybrid Marine was awarded the Bronze Medal in this international competition. The award was presented personally by HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, patron of the Royal Thames Yacht Club, following a live technical demonstration of our parallel hybrid technology.
